Volunteering for the Huntington Lake Volunteer Fire Department is more than just fighting fire. It is a diverse group of folks that come together for a common cause. Helping people in their time of need.
If you have recently (or not so recently) retired from the fire service great!
If you have recently graduated from a fire academy, we can help you get that task book signed off or brush up on your skills.
If you just love coming up to the Lake and want to help that’s great also! We can train you to respond. You don’t have to run fire calls, if you have a medical background (or interest in medical) we need help with medical emergencies too. You don’t always have to respond when you are at the Lake, so you can still enjoy those adult beverages.
We are also looking for people to handle other aspects of the department such as maintenance, paperwork and occasional construction/fabrication.
